Featured Program - Wright State University

New members, who are inducted in early November, understand that their commitment to the WSU Circle includes active participation in managing and administering all aspects of the program's planning and execution.
Prior to departing for an extended fall-to-winter break, the co-presidents hold an initial meeting to determine conference committee assignments. Real work begins in earnest during winter term, and includes several committees:program, publicity and promotions, logistics, evaluation, and budget.
To make the conference experience accessible to as many as 120 students, members submit a detailed proposal to the Special Funding Committee of Student Government for partial support. The Office of the VP for Student Affairs supports the honorarium for the keynote, or primary conference presenter. (WSU's Circle also received a Clay Grant to assist with the 2006 conference.)
Break-out sessions have included a wide range of topics and formats, including the following:
- Making a Web Site Work for Your Organization
- Organizational Fund Raising
- Communicating to Lead
- Student Philanthropy
- Student Organization Collaboration
WSU's Circle is advised by Kathy Morris, Associate VP for Student Affairs (Faculty Secretary), and Gary Dickstein, Assistant VP for Student Affairs and Director of Student Judicial Services (Faculty Advisor). Dan Abrahamowicz, VP for Student Affairs, has been a strong supporter of the Circle, and also attends all OΔK functions.
