National Awards Committee
The National Awards Committee shall oversee the Society’s various awards programs including the National Leader of the Year, the Maurice A. Clay Leadership Development Initiative, the Robert L. Morlan Faculty Secretary Award and Robert Bishop Faculty Adviser Award, the Eldridge W. Roark, Jr. Meritorious Service Award and the Cheryl M. Hogle Distinguished Service Award.

Centennial Book Committee
The Centennial Book Committee will provide advice and consultation to the book’s author and help insure accuracy and inclusion of key events and personalities in the 100 year of ODK. Committee members will be available to read drafts of the manuscript and suggest changes or additions, as well as suggest resources which be useful in the completion of the book. The committee will supply timely reports to the Board of Directors.

Centennial Committee
The Centennial Committee shall assist with the planning and implementation of the Society’s 48th Biennial Convention to be held in Lexington, Virginia. The Centennial Convention will be held on campus at Washington & Lee University during June of 2014. Planning will include scheduling speakers; soliciting sponsors & vendors; and working with the host circle, Director of Communications & Programs and Director of Alumni Engagement to plan a celebration fit for 100 years!

The Circle Editorial Board
The Editorial Board will work with the Editor of "The Circle" magazine to dictate the tone and direction of the publication. The editorial board will meet at set times before publication to discuss the latest news and opinion trends and discuss what should be included in each edition of "The Circle.” They will assist with gathering content, writing, researching themes/new departments and editing the final magazine before going to print.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee shall develop and recommend to the Board those financial principles, plan and courses of action that provide for mission accomplishment and organizational financial well-being. Consistent with this responsibility, it shall review the proposed annual budget and submit it to the Board for its approval. In addition, the committee shall make recommendations with regard to the level and terms of indebtedness, cash management, risk management, financial monitoring and reports, employee benefit plans, signatory authority for expenditures and other policies that the committee determines are advisable for effective financial management of the Society.

Governance Committee
The Governance Committee shall provide oversight on matters pertaining to governance issues and processes. The committee will develop an evaluation process that will measure the effectiveness of the Board and individual committees. The Board’s orientation, on-going training of Board members, and the recommendation of bylaw changes are responsibilities of the Board Development committee. The committee will also develop a roster of potential Board members based on the Board profile and identified needs from their evaluation of the Board, and will nominate all Board members and officers.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is charged to think strategically about matters related to extension to new campuses, the health and vitality of existing Circles, and the experiences and services provided to members. Furthermore, the Committee will maintain the standard of membership throughout the Society and review all applications from institutions for the establishment of a Circle on their campus under the provisions of the National Constitution and National Bylaws.

Strategic Alliances Ad-Hoc Committee
The Strategic Alliances Committee shall identify, establish and maintain partnerships with organizations that value the five phases of campus life celebrated by the Society and identify means by which the Society can partner with these entities towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
