Delegate Information

According to our Society's by-laws, each Circle must send an official delegate to serve as a voting member at the National Convention. The appropriate delegate will be a chapter leader/advisor during the 2012 - 2013 academic year and will be available to implement ideas learned at convention. The Society is offering a discounted registration fee of $100 for the official delegate, as well as a travel stipend up to $300.00. *In order to receive the discounted registration fee, the Circle must be up to date with all payments to the National Headquarters. 

Circles may choose to send additional representatives to the National Convention as a non-voting representative. The registration fee for a general attendee is $250.

Registration Information

Convention Registration is now open! In order to register, you must complete the online registration form. You have the option to pay via PayPal online or mail a check to the National Headquarters. All payments must be received by June 15, 2012 in order for your registration to be complete.

Housing Information

Your registration fee (for delegates & general attendees) includes on-campus suite style housing at UNC Charlotte

If you choose to stay off campus, we have a block of rooms reserved at the nearby Marriott Courtyard Hotel for $89/night plus tax. When you register online you will have the option to pay the general registration fee or pay a daily registration fee. The daily fee covers everything at convention except your housing.  Please choose the "daily registration rate" when you register. You will then need to make your own housing arrangements here. Please note that if you choose to stay at the hotel, you will responsible for all your hotel costs and transportation to and from campus.

When you click on the link to the Marriott, you will be directed to the property's home page with the group code for a King Guest Room already entered in the group code field. If you wish to reserve a Queen/Queen Guest Room, please enter ODKODKB in the group code field. Next, enter your ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE date to begin the reservation process.

Nomination Information

Nominations for National Officers can be made by any member of Omicron Delta Kappa. Society members can nominate candidates from the Society's ranks to serve a two-year term as President, Vice President and Student Vice President. Nominations closed on April 15, 2012.

The Circle Showcase

During the Convention, Circles will have the opportunity to share their best practices during the Circle Showcase. A contest for creativity and presentation will be held and prizes will be awarded to the top three Circles.

Flight Information

If you will be flying to convention, please book your airline travel to/from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). All airline travel should be booked by June 25, 2012 and a passenger itinerary must be submitted to Mary Burner. 

All attendees will have transportation provided to and from CLT on Thursday, July 26th from 12pm - 4pm and Sunday from 7am - 10am. If you wish to arrive or depart at another time, and do not wish to wait at the airport, you will have to find your own means of transportation at your own cost
