Concordia University Irvine
Holiday Food Drive
Our circle is partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County to host a food drive. Collection barrels will be on campus between November 15th and December 3rd. We are also asking the local communities to put donations on their doorsteps on December 3rd, and ODK members will collect them that day. We want to help out families who may not be able to afford all the food they need. No family should have to skip a meal, especially during this holiday period. Donated items will help feed over 220,000 that month.
Elmhurst College
Winter Concert for Charity
The Elmhurst College Choir is putting on a charity concert to raise money for Ronald McDonald House. ODK is helping with the events and also running a scarf/mitten drive during the concert. To help raise donations for the Ronald McDonald House and to collect winter items for families and individuals that need them.
Ferriss State University
Christmas Card Community Delivery
The ODK Circle at Ferris State University (in Michigan) decorated over 125 homemade Christmas Cards for the ODK National Day of Service. We will be spreading a bit of Holiday Cheer as we deliver the cards to a local nursing home on Wednesday of next week!
George Washington University
Who Let The Dogs Out?
The Washington Humane Society will be bringing dogs and up for adoption to the campus of George Washington University. The animals will be looking for kind hearted people to adopt them into a loving home. To find homes for dogs and cats that remain in animal shelters.

Holiday Cards for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
The Alpha Eta Circle of ODK at Georgia Tech will be spending the evening together making holiday greeting cards for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, which will be delivered over the weekend. For this project, we are teaming up with For The Kids, a student organization at Tech who works to raise money for CHOA, with their largest fundraiser being a Dance Marathon taking place in February. This service project not only reaches out to the Atlanta community, but also meets one of our Circle's goals of collaborating and supporting student organizations on campus. This project benefits the children at CHOA who are sick, facing or recovering from surgery, and battling leukemia. We aim to spread holiday cheer and good feelings for the children and their families. This project also benefits another Georgia Tech organization, For The Kids, who liaisons with and helps raise funds for CHOA. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is a non-profit pediatric-accredited hospital, offering family-centered care while providing specialized medical procedures and supplies, age-appropriate play therapy, psychosocial support and a hospital-based school program. Children’s is one of the country’s leading pediatric healthcare providers.

We will be working with Phi Eta Sigma to pass out bags of candy and a note wishing this years Freshman good luck on their finals. These will be passed out to the Freshman Residence Halls.
Georgian Court University
Leadership Service Day
Leadership Service Day is a day for Georgian Court University's staff and students to get together and unite and practice a mercy core value, service, with a speech about leadership and service. The speaker would be Dave Kelly. Following the workshop the people of Georgian Court University will participate in service projects in the Lakewood Community. The services to choose from is Providence House and Habitat for Humanity. The goals of this service project to enlighten the Georgian Court University Community of leadership in service and to give them the opportunity to help their neighbors. "This project will benefit Providence House, Habirtat for Humanity, and the Georgian Court Community."
Grand Valley State University
Into the Streets: Helping Haiti
On December 3, the Grand Valley Circle will be inviting the GVSU campus to join them in volunteering for Ray's of Hope for Haiti in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They will be sorting and packaging supplies to ship to areas like Haiti and the Dominican Republic. These supplies will aide in the fight against the Cholera outbreak and the pending crisis of Tropical Storm Thomas. Uniting the GV Circle of ODK and GV community to serve someone in the community who is working to save the lives of thousands of people. This project will benefit the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as well as the Ray's of Hope for Haiti organization. It will also benefit the GV circle of ODK, because it will bring us closer as an organization and better connect to our surrounding community.
Grove City College
World Vision "Gifts-in-Kind Distribution Center"
Our ODK Circle will be traveling down to Pittsburgh in order to assist World Vision staff with distributing their relief supplies. To engage individual ODK members in meaningful and local community service that has a broad and international impact. Also, to reach out in our own way to help people in need overseas. Directly, we will assist World Vision as an organization, but indirectly we will be helping all of the disaster victims who will be eventually receiving these supplies.

Volunteer at Books For Africa Warehouse
We always do a book drive every semester - some of the proceeds go to Books for Africa. They invited us to volunteer for them. We'll be helping sort books at Books for Africa warehouse. Help an organization we have a connection with, bring our members together for a common activity, and help serve the greater community.

Children's Visitation Center
For the National Day of Service on December 3, 2010, the Marietta College (MC) Omicron Delta Kappa circle teamed up with the local Order of Omega honorary to complete a service project that benefited both the campus and community. The two organizations gathered in order to bring a bit of holiday joy to local children who attend the Visitation Center, which is an organization headed by Dr. Mary Barnas, a professor of psychology at MC. The center provides a place for supervised visitation between children and parents. Participating students prepared small gifts consisting of “goodie-bags,” board games, craft supplies, and hand-made cards while a monetary donation of $500 by MH Equipment, an organization based out of Charleston, WV, added to the project’s success.

Into the Streets
On a day when Morningside College does not have classes, our ODK circle gets together other campus organizations, students, faculty and staff to volunteer for three hours in the morning. 1. To get more faculty and staff participating then in past years. 2. To maintain and increase our number of students, since last year we had almost 400. The project benefits local organizations and businesses in the Morningside and surrounding area. The organizations and business include schools, churches, social services centers, community centers, etc.

Blair County Spirit of Christmas Parade and Children's Book Drive
The Penn State Altoona Circle participated in two events. On the eve of ODK's National Day of Service, we took part in the Blair County Spirit of Christmas Parade in downtown Altoona, PA. The circle helped several U.S. Marines collect toys along the parade route for their Toys for Tots compaign. The Toys for Tots float was sponsored by former Altoona Circle ODK President and America's Ms. Pennsylvania 2011 Amber Smith. The following day ODK continued the advertisement of it's 10th Anniversary Children's Book Drive by passing out flyers to students on campus asking them to donate. The childrens books will be donated to Mothers & More of Central PA. The book drive first started in October. The goal of the Toys for Tots campaign was to give new christmas toys to children who may not receive many gifts this Christmas. The goal of the Children's book drive was to increase literacy to ensure that the children of today can excel in their education.

Spaghetti Miracle
We are providing a meal for the Oswego community in exchange for canned food items that will be donated to local food pantries. The goals of this service project are to collaboratively work with the local community to raise enough food to feed those in the area whom would be unable to provide food for themselves otherwise. This project will benefit those less fortunate in the area, our organization, and the community volunteer members. As we are donating the canned food items to local food pantries, this will directly benefit those whom are unable to afford food. We are working alongside community members whom attend the Newman Center, to integrate campus and community. This will also enhance the image of college students, in particular those involved with Omicron Delta Kappa.

World AIDS Observation Day
National Day of Service We will be volunteering at our local soup kitchen. To come together as a Circle and serve the local community. This project will benefit our local Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and the community members who use their services. The SUNY Plattsburgh Omicron Delta Kappa (ΟΔΚ) Circle recently hosted a campus ceremony in honor of World AIDS Day. The Circle also participated in Annual Adopt-A-Friend Program. Both events were held in conjunction with Omicron Delta Kappa National Day of Service.

Create A Christmas Card
For the National Day of Service we set out to have campus wide involvement. We had the student body make Christmas cards for the nursing homes here in Stephenville. The event was a major success! By the end of the week we had about 300 Christmas cards. Delivering the cards was the best reward! We plan on hosting this event annually here at TSU.

Oasis Catolico Winter Work Day
Oasis Catolico is a community of several hundred Latino families living in Athens, Ga. Help out with any manual work the nuns of the community need around the grounds: working on a trailer, painting, ground work, etc. This project will directly benefit the people in need of this Athens community.
University of Missouri- Kansas City
Harvester's "BackSnack" Packing
Our circle will be partnering with Harvester's for the National Day of Service. On December 3rd, members of the UMKC circle of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society participated in the organizations National Day of Service. Omicron Delta Kappa members from across the county all celebrated this day in their communities by giving back. The UMKC circle participated by visiting Harvesters Community Food Network in Kansas City. While there, the circle stuffed over 600 bags of food which will be distributed to school children who are on reduced lunch programs to take home over the weekend ensuring they have a nutritious meal while not in class. At Harvesters, Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership honor society, filled "BackSnack" packs that low-income household children take home from school on Fridays. The backpacks provide weekend lunches for the children. ODK students loaded two pallets of "snack packs," or about 500 weekend meals.
