Biography

Tara S. Singer was named as Omicron Delta Kappa’s fifth Executive Director in April 2013.  She brings more than three decades of experience in association management, communications and marketing, alumni engagement and development, and university administration to her roles as the chief executive for both the Omicron Delta Kappa Society, Inc. and the Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation, Inc.

Tara was previously the assistant vice president for Communications and Marketing at Indiana State University. Previous experiences include managing a range of budgets for university departments and divisions, affiliated foundations, and membership organizations; developing successful marketing campaigns for student recruitment at Indiana State University and for the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Alumni Association; and developing comprehensive alumni engagement programs at the University of West Georgia and the University of Louisville.

Additionally, Tara has coordinated numerous state, regional, and national conferences and has edited and co-authored various publications, including one book and several articles published nationally. A 1982 initiate of the Beta Epsilon Circle at the University of Louisville, Singer served as the faculty officer for the University of West Georgia Circle during her tenure as UWG’s vice president for University Advancement.   She is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity and Mortar Board.  Previously, she served Mortar Board as a member of that organization’s National Editorial Board and as an advisor for the Pallas Chapter at the University of Louisville.  Tara continues to serve AOII as one of its Foundation Ambassadors.

Tara earned her degrees at the University of Louisville including a Doctor of Education in educational administration, a Master of Arts in higher education administration, and a Bachelor of Arts with honors in American studies.

She is the mother of three sons. Scott Strednak Singer, a recent doctoral graduate from Temple University, and his wife, the Reverend Katie Strednak Singer, reside in Vienna, Va.; Britt Singer teaches English as a Second Language in Prague; and Chad Singer is a park naturalist in south central Ky.

Biography

Katy Datz joined Omicron Delta Kappa as the associate executive director for external relations in July 2015. She brings over ten years of experience in development and alumni relations in higher education and nonprofits to her role.

After graduation from Roanoke College, Katy held the position as assistant director of annual giving and young alumni relations at Hampden-Sydney College. Returning to her alma mater, Katy served as the associate director of alumni and parent relations before moving back to Lexington in 2009. Katy became the director of development and assisted the Rockbridge Area Health Center with all of its fundraising and outreach efforts, including the successful completion of transitioning from a free clinic model of business to a community health center.

At OΔK, Katy will provide leadership on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to fundraising, stewardship, campaign planning, communications, programming and Foundation board relations. Her role in this senior development position will play a key role in advancing OΔK’s fundraising program and leading its first-ever comprehensive campaign.

She received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Lexington Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce in 2012. Katy serves on the Lexington Lions Club Board of Directors as well as serving as a member of the Lexington Rockbridge Jaycees. Katy lives just outside of Lexington, Va.

Biography

Timothy (Tim) A. Reed was named Associate Executive Director for Business and Membership Services in August 2016.  His specialties include leadership development, professional performance training, curriculum development, instruction, major event planning, and facilities management. He has presented widely on leadership, organizational development, program planning, professional standards, and facility management.

With more than 30 years of experience, Tim has served in widely different university settings.  As Director of University Student Commons and Activities and then as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University, he led the curriculum and programmatic development of VCU’s third Living Learning Program (VCU-LEAD).  He co-founded the VCU Emerging Leaders Program, now in its tenth year.  Tim led efforts in professional development, SACS accreditation, assessment, and communications. As director of the student centers, he led the largest expansion of student experiences in 15 years as well as three major renovation and construction projects for the university.

Tim served in a number of student activities positions at Virginia Tech and as Dean of Students for Harlaxton College, British Campus of the University of Evansville.

Tim served on the Board of Trustees for Association of College Unions (ACUI).  He has also served as regional business manager and director, regional conference chair, and on a number of international committees. He also serves on the Harlaxton Society (University of Evansville) Board of Directors, and has served on the numerous other boards and advisory committees.

Tim is a member of ODK (Virginia Tech, ‘89) served as one of the re-chartering members and the Faculty Secretary for ODK, VCU Circle (2012).  He is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

He received a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy from Virginia Tech, a Master of Arts in education from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science in liberal studies/interpersonal communication from the University of Evansville.

Tim enjoys reading, travel, biking, walking, and just spending time with his wife of many years, Lynn. He has three grown children and two grandchildren.

Biography

Brent Anderson joined Omicron Delta Kappa in August 2013.  He brings a wide variety of accounting and management experience to his role as OΔK’s chief business officer. Brent earned his undergraduate degree and a Master of Accountancy with an emphasis in Financial Audit at Brigham Young University, and he is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.  In addition, Brent worked as a CPA for a national and a regional firm before moving to a high tech corporation and an international export company.

Previously, at Southern Virginia University (SVU), in Buena Vista, Va., he managed the operations of the business office and interfaced with several university departments and divisions to increase productivity and budgetary compliance. Additionally, he has served on the board of directors of the Delta-Montrose Electric Cooperative and as president of the Hotchkiss Chamber of Commerce in Colorado.

Brent is active in church service and leadership as well as involved in community service in the Lexington/Buena Vista area where he resides with his wife Brooke, a SVU graduate, online seminary instructor and public school substitute teacher.  They are the parents of four children and four grandsons.

Biography

Lindsey Cline joined Omicron Delta Kappa as the director of communications and programs in March 2015. She brings eight years of experience in communications and marketing for small businesses and nonprofits to her role.

Lindsey formerly built successful communications and marketing programs for non-profit corporations and small businesses, including the Choose Clean Water Coalition in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation, the Virginia Horse Center Foundation and Mockingbird Ministries. Lindsey began her career in journalism; first as a television host for Virginia Living Television and then as a writer for The Chronicle of the Horse, the popular equestrian magazine and website.

A graduate of Sweet Briar College, she serves on the Annual Fund alumnae committee.  She is also on the Board of Directors for Women in Technology, an educational non-profit based in Charlottesville. She lives on a small farm in Amherst, Va.

Biography

Bobby Stanton was hired as Omicron Delta Kappa's Director of Development and Alumni Engagement in February 2010. She is a Kentucky native and a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in education. She taught high school biology prior to moving into the nonprofit sector.  Most recently, she served as executive director of the Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation in Brentwood, Tenn.

She is an initiated member of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity as well as a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has been a very active volunteer throughout her career and most notably in the Nashville, Tenn. community.

Bobby and her husband Ted have an extensive collection of cookbooks and enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. They have two married daughters, Alexis and Diana, and two grandchildren.

Biography

Brittany Booher is originally from Lexington, Va., and she is a magna cum laude graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., where she majored in marketing with a minor in accounting. Brittany is a member of the Tau Sigma national honor society, and she was very involved in volunteer activities as a student.  On many occasions, she could be found helping at local food banks, wounded warrior activities, community clean-up projects, church activities and assisting the local commissioner of revenue’s office.  She was also involved in school-related activities, sports, tutoring and the school newspaper.

Prior to attending Liberty, Brittany attended Dabney S. Lancaster Community College where she received an associate's degree in administrative support.  She enjoys traveling, staying active, and giving back to the community. An active history lover, Brittany has traveled extensively. She and her husband, Chad, live in the Lexington area.
