Nominees are required to submit a nomination form; personal statement (500-700 words) about the nominee’s interest in serving Omicron Delta Kappa, leadership philosophy, the purpose for running, and goals for the Society’s future; resume/curriculum vita (in PDF format with personal contact information removed); and professional headshot digital photograph
Early January – Promotion of Faculty/Staff Trustee opportunity at advisor workshop
February 15 – Second call for nominations
March 1 – Nominations close
March 15 – Preliminary candidates identified; initial screening interviews (by phone) between March 15 – 30
April 15 – Slate of faculty and staff candidates (one to be elected) announced; personal statement, resume/curriculum vita, and photograph for each candidate posted on the website; sitting Faculty Advisors and Circle Coordinators informed of secured procedure for election including the opportunity to write-in a candidate
April 18 – Virtual forum for slate of two candidates, 4:00 p.m. (Eastern) via Zoom
May 1 – 12 – Electronic voting by sitting Circle Coordinators and Faculty Advisors
May 15 – Election results announced
Nominations forms for the next cycle of elections, including those for self-nomination, will be available after January 1, 2024.
