Several distinguished members of Omicron Delta Kappa have been leaders in the fields of science and medicine. They include the developer of an important 20th century vaccine, a doctor who truly embraced the philosophy of “physician – heal thyself,” and several U.S. Surgeon Generals. The list also includes those who reached for the stars – by studying them, climbing mountains to touch them, and flying into space – and a couple of champions for the planet through their work with the National Geographic Society.
