Katy Datz joined Omicron Delta Kappa as the associate executive director for external relations in 2015. A 2016 initiate of the Roanoke College Circle, Katy serves as the vice president for external relations. She brings more than 15 years of experience in development and alumni relations in higher education and nonprofits to her role.
At O∆K, Katy provides leadership on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to fundraising, stewardship, campaign planning, communications, and board relations. Her leadership in this senior development position plays a key role in advancing O∆K’s fundraising program and leading its first-ever comprehensive campaign.
After graduation from Roanoke College, Katy held the position as assistant director of annual giving and young alumni relations at Hampden-Sydney College. Returning to her alma mater, Katy served as the associate director of alumni and parent relations before moving back to Lexington in 2009. Katy became the director of development and assisted the Rockbridge Area Health Center with all of its fundraising and outreach efforts, including the successful completion of transitioning from a free clinic model of business to a community health center.
She received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Lexington Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce in 2012. Katy served as a member of the Lexington Rockbridge Jaycees, and she was also a charter member of the Rotary Club of Lexington Lunch. Katy lives in Fishersville, Va. with her partner, Jon, infant son, Rory, and boxer dog, Ryeley.
