About the Circle
The ECU Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa was founded in 1990. Since it’s founding, the East Carolina University Circle has continued to grow, with more than 600 students, faculty, and staff initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa. In 1994, the ECU Circle began accepting alumni members. In 2015, the East Carolina University Circle celebrated its 25th anniversary. Membership into ECU’s Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa is one of the highest honors an East Carolina student can receive. Invitation into the Circle is a recognition of leadership, commitment to community, outstanding scholarship, and exemplary character. For membership, one must be nominated, meet the overall GPA requirement, complete an application process, and interview.
