At the heart of OΔK’s governance structure is the Society’s Constitution.
OΔK’s leadership makes all operating decisions in accordance with the Society’s bylaws, which are reviewed bi-annually. Changes to the bylaws may be made at any time but must be approved with a two-thirds affirmative vote at National Convention or with a three-fourths affirmative vote by the Board of Directors. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees is governed according to requirements outlined in Foundation bylaws.
Individual circles maintain their own bylaws, which must never contradict a policy or procedure outlined in the national organization’s documents. We provide sample bylaws to use as a guide if you are establishing a new circle.
