The Intern Group

In 2022’s increasingly competitive job market, employers are looking for the most competitive candidate. They want you to have a degree, interesting hobbies, and previous professional experience. But how can you get that professional experience if no one will hire you without it? Consider doing a global internship remotely.

Our partner, The Intern Group, is the leading provider of global internship programs, online and in-person, in Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, USA, and Canada. Their virtual/remote internship program enables you to gain hands-on experience, grow your network, and make your resume shine, from wherever you are. The program has everything you need to boost your career, including a virtual internship in your career field, world-class career advancement training, and a keynote speaker series featuring global business leaders.

The best part is that they will give you a $300 discount year-round because you’re an Omicron Delta Kappa member. Learn more.

Global Remote Internship Scholarship Program

OΔK members have the opportunity to apply for a full scholarship, valued at $3,000, to cover the costs of a summer global remote internship. The scholarship application process for Summer 2022 has closed, but you can still apply to participate in The Intern Group’s program and take advantage of the $300 discount offered to OΔK members.

Information on next year’s scholarship application will be posted in early 2023.

For information about the scholarship process, contact Jamie Bouldin, jamie@odk.org.

Testimonial from our first TIG scholarship recipient

Whitney Jordan Adams (Clemson University, 2019)

My name is Whitney Jordan Adams, and I wanted to share a little about my experience winning the OΔK scholarship with The Intern Group. My situation is a little unique, as I entered the scholarship having already completed my undergraduate degree, a master’s degree, and a doctoral degree. I graduated in May of 2020 from Clemson University with a Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Communication, and Information Design. Currently, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing at Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia. I am also completing my MBA at Berry and plan to graduate in May of 2023. I applied for The Intern Group Scholarship due to my desire to begin a new career path in Business. In addition, I have a lot of experience teaching, researching, working with different cultural groups, and traveling abroad.

I was excited for the opportunity to begin the internship, so I could continue to learn relevant skills that will assist me as I make a transition away from academia. I am thankful for my time spent teaching, but I feel called to begin a different career path. Through The Intern Group, I was paired with Amorvita. Amorvita is a Toronto-based company that seeks to empower women entrepreneurs. As a Marketing and Communications Manager, I learned valuable skills that I will use in real-world contexts. For example, I created inclusive social media content and web page designs. I was also able to assist on the Business Development side. Damian Reid, the CEO of Amorvita, was amazing. He made sure I understood my tasks and was very supportive throughout the duration of the internship. Lastly, the rest of the intern team I worked with was fantastic. We were all based in different locations – the UK, France, China, and Canada but we made it work! I am so grateful to Damian, the rest of the Amorvita team, and The Intern Group for making my internship unforgettable. I now feel comfortable applying for new jobs to begin my new career!
