About the Circle
The UNCW Circle was chartered April 20, 1997 to first, recognize students who have attained a high standard of leadership in collegiate and/or community activities, and to encourage them to aspire to higher achievements; second, to bring together the most representative individuals in all phases of collegiate life and, thus, to create an organization which will help to mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate interests; and third, to bring together members of the faculty and student body of the institution on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.
Students interested in applying to the UNCW Circle are encouraged to attend the Leadership Lecture Series: Brandon Stanton on September 26 at 7 in the Burney Center and sign up for more information at our table. More information regarding selection and interest meetings will be forth coming.
Current members are expected to attend monthly meetings and participate in a service and fundraising event each semester. The executive board of the UNCW Circle is President, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Service, and Treasurer. Elections are held each spring.
