The schedule for elections is determined by the Board of Trustees. Below is a tentative schedule for teh 2024 election cycle. All dates are subject to change.
November 17 – Call for nominations and self-nominations distributed by email to all sitting Faculty Advisors and Circle Coordinators
Nominees are required to submit a nomination form; personal statement (500-700 words) about the nominee’s interest in serving Omicron Delta Kappa, leadership philosophy, the purpose for running, and goals for the Society’s future; resume/curriculum vita (in PDF format with personal contact information removed); and professional headshot digital photograph
January 15 – Nominations close
February 1 – Preliminary candidates identified; initial screening interviews (by phone) between February 15 – 28
March 15 – Slate of faculty and staff candidates (one to be elected) announced; personal statement, resume/curriculum vita, and photograph for each candidate posted on the website; sitting Faculty Advisors and Circle Coordinators informed of the secured procedure for election including the opportunity to write-in a candidate
March 28 – Virtual forum for a slate of not more than three candidates, 4:00 p.m. (Eastern) via Zoom
April 1 – 15 – Electronic voting by sitting Circle Coordinators and Faculty Advisors
April 17 – Election results announced
July 1 – Term begins
