Announcing 2019 Scholarship Recipients

Every year, Omicron Delta Kappa awards scholarships to more than 30 collegiate members to continue their educations through graduate and professional study. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,500. These recipients demonstrate exceptional academic performance and leadership abilities.

Teresa Aires de Sousa da Silveira Rodrigues

Kenneth P. Ruscio (Washington and Lee University) Scholarship
Washington and Lee University Circle

Teresa Aires de Sousa da Silveira Rodrigues graduated cum laude with a double major in business administration and sociology from Washington and Lee University. Teresa was an active member of the Alpha Circle and participated as a delegate in OΔK’s 2019 conclave. In addition to holding many leadership positions on campus, she served as a peer counselor, writing tutor, and first-year resident advisor.

While studying organizational behavior as an undergraduate, Teresa gained a curiosity for the correlation between healthy work environments and increased team productivity. This fall, she enrolled at Maastricht University in the Netherlands to continue her studies in organizational behavior. She is pursuing a master’s degree in work and organizational psychology.

Taylor Andrews

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Birmingham-Southern College Circle

Taylor Andrews graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology with a concentration in biology. An accomplished athlete, Taylor led the undergraduate soccer team as captain her senior year. She was also a member of the basketball team and helped her teammates win the 2017-18 Southern Athletic Association regular season championship.

In addition to leading in the athletic realm, Taylor served as vice president of both her circle and Psi Chi. She was a member of three other honor societies and served on the academic committee of her sorority, Kappa Delta. During her undergraduate career, Taylor acted as a Vail Teaching Fellow for a biological psychology class that implemented evidence-based learning strategies for facilitating neuroanatomy mastery. Currently, Taylor works as a clinical technician at St. Mary’s Hospital so that she may earn the pre-enrollment patient care hours required for a physician assistant program.

Emma Avery

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Eastern Connecticut State University Circle

Emma Avery graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science and a Bachelor of Science with a major in environmental earth science with a concentration in sustainable energy. She maintained a 3.97 GPA and graduated as a member of the University Honors Program. She dedicated her academic career to researching hurricanes in historic marine sediments, which served as the topic of her undergraduate thesis.

As secretary of her circle, she coordinated meetings, events, and volunteer service activities. She also acted as vice president of the Honors Club and president of the campus honors housing program. Off-campus, she volunteered as a tutor and recess aide for local schools. Emma enrolled at the University of Connecticut School of Law in the fall. She hopes to become either an energy or environmental lawyer upon graduation.

Kristen Banks

Stephen D. Bisese (University of Richmond) Scholarship
University of Richmond Circle

Kristen Banks graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science with a major in environmental studies and leadership studies. As an undergraduate, she completed independent research on climate change and energy efficiency, analyzing President Obama’s Climate Action Plan through public opinion survey data. As a result of her research, her findings were published in a peer-reviewed academic journal. Kristen was president of the equestrian team, a tour guide for the Office of Admissions, a peer advising associate, and house chairman of her social sorority.

After graduation, Kristen worked for two years as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She currently maintains a 4.0 GPA at Columbia University Earth Institute, part of the School of Professional Studies, where she is pursuing her Master of Science with a major in sustainability management. At Columbia, Kristen serves as vice president of communications for the Sustainability Management Student Association and is a member of various sustainability groups. She hopes to work in the food sustainability field upon graduation.

Katie Breen

University of Maryland, College Park Scholarship
University of Maryland Circle

Katie Breen graduated from the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in marketing. She was named the 2012 Top Graduating Senior in Marketing and delivered the commencement address of the Robert H. Smith School of Business.

After pursuing a successful career in marketing, Katie decided to return to school to bring her marketing insights to the world of public health. She is enrolled in the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she is a Master of Public Health candidate with a concentration in maternal-child health. As a graduate student, she works with several agencies to help lower the rates of maternal morbidity in the state of Texas.

Laura Margaret Burbach

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Georgia Institute of Technology Circle

Laura Margaret Burbach graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science with a major in public policy. As an undergraduate, she was an ambassador for Georgia Tech, chief of staff for the Student Government Association, and recruitment chair for OΔK.

After graduating, she taught math as a Teach For America corps member and later worked as a policy and research analyst for the Georgia Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. This fall, Laura Margaret began a Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. She hopes to innovate current education data practices with machine learning to maximize instruction and opportunity.

Stephanie Clark

Diane and Tom Vukovich Scholarship
Muskingum University Circle

Stephanie Clark graduated summa cum laude from Muskingum University with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in chemistry and mathematics. As co-president of her circle, she organized a leaf raking fundraiser that benefited a local food pantry, and she coordinated OΔK activities for Parents’ Weekend. Stephanie was also co-captain of the women’s basketball team and served as a student mentor and tutor.

After shadowing a family physician and volunteering at a children’s hospital, Stephanie developed a passion for medicine. She enrolled in an M.D. program at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences with support from the Diane and Tom Vukovich Scholarship. During her time in medical school, Stephanie volunteers at a student run free medical clinic and coaches a local fifth grade girls’ basketball team. She also gives tours of an anatomy lab and plastination museum to high school and college students. Currently, she serves as treasurer of Students for Medical Missions and hopes to finish medical school in 2022.

Austin Colon

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
University of Massachusetts Lowell Circle

Passionate about polymers and plastics engineering, Austin Colon graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in plastics engineering in 2019. A leader on campus, Austin was president of the student chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers and served as OΔK’s treasurer. He was also involved in the Francis College of Engineering Ambassadors.

In addition, Austin participated in the cooperative education program. For his first assignment, he worked at Stryker Neurovascular as an extrusion engineering co-op, assisting in the lab that produces catheters for stroke treatments. His next co-op led him to become a member of the New Product Development team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Currently, Austin is enrolled in the plastics engineering Ph.D. program at UMass Lowell where he researches additive manufacturing.

Arielle Crook

John Karlem Riess Scholarship
Tulane University Circle

Arielle Crook graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in biology. Brittaney Dyer

University of North Georgia Circle

Cassie Felder

Katharine Cater (Auburn University) Scholarship
Auburn University Circle

Cassie Felder graduated from Auburn University in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in English literature and minoring in history. As an undergraduate student, Cassie belonged to several honor societies and was actively involved on campus and in the community through her work with the Honors College. In addition to being involved with Reformed University Fellowship, she also volunteered as a committee member and served as a director for a campus organization that aimed to give back to the community through yard work. She served as a mentor for local children by engaging them in afterschool enrichment activities.

Cassie is currently enrolled at Auburn University working on a master’s degree in English language arts education. She intends to become a teacher after graduation.

Alexandra Gilbert

University of Maryland, College Park Scholarship
University of Maryland, College Park Circle

Alexandra Gilbert, an initiate of the Sigma Circle at the University of Maryland, College Park, graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music with a major in flute performance. She will also earn a Bachelor of Music Education following student teaching. Alexandra served as the membership and induction coordinator for her circle. In this role, she helped revise the selection process so that it better recognized artistic leaders on campus.

As an artistic leader herself, Alexandra served as the president of the National Association for Music Education, vice president of the Sigma Alpha Iota Professional Music Fraternity for Women, student representative for the School of Music Undergraduate Committee, and a member of more than ten university ensembles.

Jake Grootenboer

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Stockton University Circle

Jake Grootenboer graduated with honors from Stockton University in 2019, earning a bachelor’s degree, majoring in health science with a concentration in pre-physical therapy. Jake served as vice president of his circle and as vice president of recruitment and membership development for his fraternity, Kappa Sigma. He also acted as president of the Books Without Borders Club, which organizes events to raise money and collect books for developing countries. Under his leadership, the club sent more than 30,000 books to Zimbabwe.

Currently, Jake is enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Stockton University and plans to specialize in sports medicine. He intends to continue his involvement with his circle as a graduate student.

Sean Harnik

Laura Larissa Morgan (University of Miami) Scholarship
University of Miami Circle

Sean Harnik graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in biology and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in health management and policy. As president of ’Canes Emergency Response Team, he assisted the campus community during Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Matthew. He also acted as president for the Running Club.

In addition to serving student organizations, Sean helped incoming freshman with the transition to college life through his role as a first-year fellow. He also worked as a student assistant for the Butler Center for Service and Leadership. In this role, he coordinated largescale service days that connected students to service opportunities in the South Florida area. Sean currently attends the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He hopes to become a physician after graduating.

Lillian Hussong

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Stockton University Circle

Lillian Hussong is a Ph.D. candidate in the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University, a part of the institution’s School of Arts and Sciences. She is currently in the process of writing her dissertation on American national security in the Arctic. She received funding from the Simon Reich Fellowship for Research in Global Governance, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Arctic Research Commission to present her work at the International Arctic Social Sciences Association, the International Studies Association, and the Wilson Center. Lillian also researches American Arctic politics for the Arctic Institute and helps edit the U.S. Naval War College’s forthcoming Newport Arctic Security Manual.

Lillian previously earned a Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in historical studies from Stockton University. At Stockton University, she served as president of her circle and organized several service events. For OΔK’s Founders’ Day, she coordinated a canned goods donation drive benefitting the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and the al-Taqwa Mosque.

Trae Johnson

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Georgia Southern University Circle

With eight years of professional experience, Trae Johnson is a student financial services counselor for the Perimeter College of Georgia State University while he works toward completing his master’s degree in higher education administration. Trae educates students and parents on financial literacy, financial aid, and the steps for becoming a successful student. Dedicated to giving back to his community, Trae serves as president of the Sigma Youth Leadership Foundation. In this role, he leads the nonprofit’s board in raising funds to provide scholarships to African American males in Georgia. Trae also participates in a variety of service projects through his membership in Phi Beta Sigma and the Dogwood Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians.

Trae maintains a 4.0 GPA at Georgia Southern University. After completing his master’s degree, he intends to remain employed in the realm of higher education. Ultimately, Trae hopes to become a director or dean in student affairs and a published author.

Andres Maeso

Scott R. Goodale Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Christopher Newport University Circle

Maeso graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in cellular, molecular, and physiological biology and minors in chemistry and leadership studies. As president of his circle, Andres created a “preparing for life and leadership after college” speaker series for the campus community. The annual event focuses on professional development and helps students transition into the professional world.

In addition to spearheading programs through his circle, Andres was an active volunteer for the Special Olympics Gymnastics club. He also served as captain of his school’s NCAA Division III soccer team, leading the team to a conference championship and multiple appearances in the NCAA tournament. A well-rounded leader, Andres excelled academically as an undergraduate. He was selected to receive the Honors Program Research stipend twice and was chosen to participate in the university’s Summer Scholars Program. Currently, Andres is enrolled at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Edania Martinez

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
SUNY College at Old Westbury Circle

Edania Martinez graduated from SUNY College at Old Westbury in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in childhood education and focusing on teaching students with disabilities. As an undergraduate, Edania served as secretary/ treasurer of her circle and as president of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education. She maintained a position on the Dean’s List and the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll throughout her entire collegiate career. In addition to excelling academically, Edania played on both the lacrosse team and the soccer team, which she led as captain during her junior and senior years. In 2017, she received the nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year and was also awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award.

Edania currently attends Touro College in New York, where she is pursuing her master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Upon graduation, she plans to become a full-time teacher in a dual language classroom.

Cassie McLean

John D. Morgan Scholarship
Wittenberg University Circle

In May 2019, Cassie McLean graduated with honors from Wittenberg University, earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology with minors in neuroscience and biology. During her time at Wittenberg, Cassie served as president of her circle, treasurer of the American International Association, and vice president of the National Alliance of Mental Illness on Campus.

Cassie volunteered at a variety of organizations including the Rocking Horse Center, Oesterlen Youth Services, and a local elementary school. After setting her goal to become an occupational therapist, Cassie dedicated her undergraduate studies to researching her chosen field. In her senior honors thesis, she investigated the correlation between therapeutic alliance and patient progress in pediatric occupational therapy.

After graduation, Cassie decided to continue her studies and began a clinical doctorate in occupational therapy at The Ohio State University. She hopes to work in the field of neurorehabilitation upon completing her doctoral degree.

Abigale Miller

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
University of Nebraska – Lincoln Circle

Abigale Miller graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in biological sciences and minors in biochemistry and gerontology. As an undergraduate student, Abbie served as her circle’s selection chair and as the president of her school’s National Society of Collegiate Scholars chapter. Holding an active role in her community in addition to her campus, she created and taught a health care class for local refugees.

Abbie completed her senior thesis on the overdose reversal drug Naloxone, examining how it can be utilized to help end the opioid epidemic. She is currently attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and plans to become a family physician.

Cassandra Ngo

Chellgren Family Endowed Scholarship
Pittsburg State University Circle

Cassandra Ngo graduated from Pittsburg State University in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in political science and criminal justice. Cassandra led as president of her circle and as student body president. As student body president, she lobbied at the state level for higher education funding, representing students from not only her university but also from all around the state.

In addition, Cassandra completed research in subjects related to history, philosophy, and social sciences. She presented her findings at numerous conferences and colloquiums. Currently, Cassandra is pursuing a master’s degree in forensic psychology at Arizona State University.

She hopes to become a forensic psychologist.

Alexandra Paleka

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
St. Norbert College Circle

In May 2019, Alexandra Paleka graduated magna cum laude from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Arts in communication and media studies. Heavily involved on campus, Alexandra served as president of her circle, a student activist for Title IX reform, and vice president of the Student Government Association. In addition to holding numerous leadership roles, Alexandra participated in various research endeavors as an undergraduate. She published a feminist research essay in Feminist Spaces, engaged in a student-faculty collaborative research project on body image and communication, and acted as an associate editor of the National Collegiate Honors Council’s Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity.

This fall, Alexandra began the Master of Education program in higher education at Vanderbilt University Peabody College of Education and Human Development. She aspires to work in the student affairs areas of Title IX as well as diversity and inclusion. Alexandra ultimately hopes to become a university administrator in student life.

Madison Plaster

Diane and Tom Vukovich Scholarship
University of Akron Circle

Madison Plaster graduated from the University of Akron in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with majors in biomedical engineering and French. During her time as an undergraduate, Madison was president of her circle and a student in the Honors College. She also served as president of the Sigma Lambda Residence Hall Honorary and acted as a University Ambassador.

Throughout her collegiate career, Madison worked in the field of medicine. During a software services co-op at PerkinElmer, she configured and validated software for public health labs across North America. Madison also worked in the Biofluid Microtechnology Laboratory, where she studied the microenvironment around breast cancer tumors. Inspired by her lab work to continue her education, Madison enrolled in the University of Chicago to pursue a Ph.D. in molecular engineering.

Emily Pride

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Western Kentucky University Circle

Emily Pride graduated Western Kentucky University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in corporate and organizational communication. As an undergraduate, Emily led the effort to revitalize her school’s circle and served as president. She also held leadership roles in Alpha Omicron Pi, Lambda Pi Eta, and the WKU Panhellenic Association. Emily is pursuing a Master of Arts with a major in organizational communication at WKU.

As a graduate student, she remains involved. She acted as a graduate senator for the Student Government Association and served on the Organizational Aid Committee. She has also worked with United Way, Junior Achievement, WKU Alumni Association, and the Women’s Fund of Southcentral Kentucky. After earning her master’s degree, Emily plans to obtain an Ed.D. in organizational leadership. She intends to pursue a career in communication consulting for nonprofit or higher education organizations.

KeLeigh Pritchett

Winton M. Blount Scholarship
Troy University Circle

As an educator, KeLeigh Pritchett believes in the importance of lifelong learning. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Troy University. During her time at Troy University, she served as the president of her circle and organized a diaper drive for a local organization that helps women and their families through unplanned pregnancies.

KeLeigh currently teaches fourth grade and is passionate about enriching the lives of her students. She spearheaded the elementary school’s “Give Me 5!” program, which encourages students to complete at least five hours of community service. KeLeigh hopes that the program will create a ripple effect, inspiring the younger generation to give back in the future. Currently a doctoral student studying adult education, KeLeigh is enrolled at Auburn University. She plans to continue her career in education, ultimately aspiring to teach at the collegiate level as a professor.

Michael Rega

Eastern Kentucky University Scholarship
Eastern Kentucky University Circle

Michael Rega graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017 with an associate’s degree in paramedicine and received a bachelor’s degree, majoring in emergency medical care, from EKU in December 2018. As a founding member of EKU’s circle, Michael helped establish programs such as food drives and leadership development talks. Upon completing his undergraduate education, Michael went before the International Board of Specialty Certification to become one of the 8,700 board-certified flight paramedics worldwide.

Before his enrollment at EKU, Michael served as a nationally registered paramedic for 11 years. He held a variety of  leadership positions including sergeant and lieutenant during his tenure. For his efforts, Michael received two American Heart Association Heartsaver awards. He is currently enrolled in the EKU School of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management graduate program. He hopes to work in the public health response sector of emergency management upon graduation.

Frederickie Rizos

Western New England University Circle

Frederickie Rizos graduated from Western New England University in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in sports management and marketing. As president of her class, Frederickie was extremely involved on campus, planning fundraising and social events. She served as a peer advisor and first-year seminar assistant, which allowed her to help first-year students transition into college both inside and outside of the classroom.

As a member of OΔK, she helped her circle host several community service events. In addition, Frederickie was also a member of two other honors societies: Alpha Lambda Delta and Beta Gamma Sigma. Currently, Frederickie is enrolled in Western New England University School of Law and ultimately aspires to become a successful attorney.

Briana Scott

Rupert Nelson Latture Scholarship
St. Norbert College Circle

A first-generation college student, Briana Scott graduated from St. Norbert College in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in psychology and sociology. She held several leadership roles across campus, including serving as president for the local chapter of Psi Chi, the international honor society of psychology. Dedicated to serving her community, Briana acted as service chair for her circle and frequently volunteered at local organizations. In addition to leading and serving her community, Briana worked as both a teaching and research assistant for the psychology department. As a research assistant, she examined the lifetime effects of adverse childhood experiences.

This fall, Briana enrolled in the University of Michigan School of Education’s combined doctoral program in education and psychology. During her studies, she intends to research K-12 school reform, trauma-informed care, and interventions for at-risk youth.

David Shibley

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Elon University Circle

An initiate of the Elon University Circle, David Shibley graduated in 2019 earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting with minors in finance and sport management. Along with another student, David founded the Elon Accounting and Finance Club during his freshman year. Additionally, he served as treasurer of the Elon Men’s Club Basketball team and volunteered for a program designed to prevent drunk driving on campus.

This fall, David began his studies in the University of Notre Dame’s Master of Science in Accountancy Program. Following graduation, he plans to move back to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and become a Certified Public Accountant.

Briana Simpson

University at Albany Circle

Briana Simpson graduated magna cum laude from the University at Albany in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a major in economics and business administration with concentrations in management and information systems and business analytics. As an undergraduate, Briana made the dean’s list five times and received several awards for her academic achievements. She was also an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants, the Jamaican Student Association, the Women Excelling in Business Club, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Briana is enrolled in the University at Albany School of Business where she will concentrate her studies in cybersecurity. Her decision to focus on cybersecurity stems from her passion for problem-solving and data analytics. Ultimately, Briana hopes to pursue a career as a cybersecurity analyst.

Laura Sliker

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Baylor University Circle

When Laura Sliker discovered that she could combine her enthusiasm for creativity and writing into a career, she knew she wanted to enter the world of advertising. Laura graduated from Baylor University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in journalism. As an undergraduate, she wrote for two of Baylor’s magazines, rising to the role of editor for the student-run publication The Bundle. She also interned for The Walt Disney Company, where she dedicated her time to learning the communications systems.

In addition to learning the fundamentals of advertising, Laura was involved in several organizations as an undergraduate. She served as co-founder and president of the Baylor Ballroom Dance Society, was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, and acted as a public relations officer for the Baylor Student Foundation. Laura is enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a Master of Arts in advertising.

Julia Alton Tubbs

Katharine Cater (Auburn University) Scholarship
Auburn University Circle

Julia Alton Tubbs graduated from Auburn University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in health services administration. Heavily involved across campus, she acted as president of the Involvement Ambassadors, treasurer of the Health and Hospital Administration, a mentor for Project Uplift, and an active member of her circle. After graduation, she worked as a quality improvement advisor for the Alabama Assurance Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to improve the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries.

Julia Alton is currently enrolled in both the Master of Science in health administration program and the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She serves on the Greater Birmingham Humane Society Young Professionals Board and acts as secretary of the Chapter Advisory Board for the UAB chapter of Kappa Delta.

JennaWalmer

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Bridgewater College Circle

Jenna Walmer graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater College in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in global studies. As co-president of her circle, Jenna organized many programs, including a National Day of Service project. She also attended the 2018 OΔK National Convention and Leadership Conference and the 2019 conclave as a delegate. In addition to her involvement in OΔK, Jenna served on the executive board for the local Habitat for Humanity chapter and held leadership positions in various campus service groups.

Currently, Jenna attends West Chester University of Pennsylvania and is enrolled in two master’s programs, one in Holocaust and genocide studies and the other in general psychology. She hopes to merge the two fields to understand the social-psychological components of genocides and why they continue to happen.

Tiffany Willis

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
University of West Alabama Circle

Tiffany Willis graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science with a major in sociology in the criminal justice track. As an undergraduate, Tiffany served as president of her circle and received the OΔK Circle Leader of the Year award. She was also a member of seven other honor societies. After graduation, she returned to the University of West Alabama as a graduate assistant for the Housing and Residence Life Department.

Tiffany is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education from the University of West Alabama. Upon completing her master’s degree, she plans to earn a law degree and pursue a career in Title IX or athletic compliance in higher education.
