About the Circle
Omicron Delta Kappa, the University of Baltimore’s Circle of the National Leadership Honor Society understands that it is a privilege to be a part of an honor society of this stature. For this reason, we have great expectations for every member that we induct. Our expectations correlate with those of ODK as a whole, but we look mostly for individuals who are very much involved on campus. This is because we like to know that our new members are not only involved in their academics- which is also important- but that they spend their free time doing something positive. For example, many are involved in mentoring programs, others are members of organizations on campus, and other members help feed the homeless.
Programs
For the past five years, the ODK University of Baltimore Circle has been involved in the 9/11 Ceremony and Garden Beautification which takes place on September 11th every year. This event is held at Gordon Plaza, where members of the University of Baltimore community come together for a opening ceremony and moment of silence for those individuals who lost their lives on 9/11. Attendees each year include University of Baltimore alumni. Next year, ODK members plan to help beautify the garden by cleaning up trash and old flowers, and they will also plant new flowers.
