About the Circle
The Georgia Southern University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa inducts new members every fall. Students eligible to apply to join ODK are invited via email to complete an application at the beginning of the fall semester. The submitted applications are then evaluated based on student involvement in the five phases of campus life: Scholarship, Athletics, Campus or Community Service, Social and Religious Activities, and Campus Government, Journalism, Speech and Mass Media, and Creative and Performing Arts. Students who qualify for membership are then officially invited to join ODK through email. After paying a membership fee and attending induction, new members are welcomed into the Georgia Southern University Circle.
Programs
The Georgia Southern University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa participates in a service project every fall semester. Members volunteer with the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, Ga. by helping with various parts of the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair. Members assist with the fair parade and with the canned food drive the opening night of the fair.
ODK members at Georgia Southern University also attend meetings during the year that focus on leadership development. The ODK officers strive to create meaningful lessons that give members the skills they need to grow as a leader.
