Centennial Committee Chairperson

As the Omicron Delta Kappa Society nears its 100th Anniversary in 2014, the organization is currently in search of a member who would be willing to serve as the Chairperson for our Centennial Celebration Committee.  Applicants for this volunteer position should be inducted members of the Society, have some previous experience with anniversary celebration planning, and posses effective delegation and time management skills.  Expectations and responsibilities of the Centennial Committee Chair are as follows:
  • Commit to spending approximately 5 hours per month on centennial planning and organization through 2012.  In 2013 and 2014, the time commitment will increase to 10 hours per month or more to accommodate the details and execution of the celebration.
  • Convene and oversee meetings of the Centennial Celebration Committee.
  • Develop and oversee the timeline for the planning and execution of Centennial Celebration events.
  • Delegate day-to-day tasks to National Headquarters Staff and committee members, and enforce all deadlines.
  • Oversee the execution of all events and program associated with the Centennial.
