At the heart of OΔK’s governance structure are the Articles of Incorporation for the Omicron Delta Kappa Society and Educational Foundation as well as the National Bylaws. The Articles of Incorporation and the National Bylaws include detailed information about the governing committees of the organization. The Board of Trustees also follows requirements as set out by the Omicron Delta Kappa Board Policy Manual.
The requirements and expectations of individual circles, membership selection, and operating committees are outlined in the Omicron Delta Kappa Policies and Procedures Handbook. Circle officers are also expected to be familiar with the information outlined in the Circle Officer Handbook. Individual circles maintain their own bylaws, which must never contradict a policy or procedure outlined in the national organization’s documents. We provide sample bylaws to use as a guide if you are establishing a new circle.
