May – End of Year Tasks
The OΔK Circle Annual Report is now open. Each circle is required to submit the report before June 30, 2026. The Circle Annual Report now requires the submission of Circle Bylaws. If you do not have bylaws, please use the OΔK Circle Bylaws template to create them this spring.
Program Reports for 2025-2026 are due by June 30, 2026. Reports submitted for programs that took place in the 2024-2025 academic year will be filed, but will not count toward Circle Standards.
Circle officers should use this form to submit these types of program reports:
-
- Signature Leadership Program (SLP)
- Signature Service Program (SSP)
- Stone Ethical Leadership Challenge (SELC)
- Leadership Program
- Service Program
- Other Campus Program
Be sure to review the Signature Program Guidelines here. All program report submissions may be used for social media posts, in The Circle quarterly, or to share resources with other circles.
If you have any questions regarding Program Reports, contact [email protected].
To be eligible for Circle Recognition Honors, a circle must meet the Circle Standards. Circles should review the standards through the link on the Circle Executive Dashboard. If any standards other than initiation have not yet been met, there is still time to complete them. Officers can be updated (see below), Program and Circle Annual Reports submitted (see above), the Institutional Membership Fee, and outstanding balances paid.
There are additional steps to receiving Circle Recognition Honors, but it all starts with meeting Circle Standards.
☑️ Reject Applicants
Circle officers must reject any remaining applicants after the certificate order is submitted. (This includes anyone who was accepted but never paid their fees.) This allows individuals to apply again if they wish and clears the application management dashboard for the next process. OΔK no longer conducts mass rejection of outstanding applicants. Applicants cannot be moved from one initiation to another; they must be rejected and reapply. If any new members did not attend an initiation, reach out to your circle contact to discuss the return/refund process.
Many circles elect new officers in the spring. New officers MUST complete the Circle Officer Agreement and complete MyODK training to receive access to the MyODK Circle Executive Dashboard. Make sure your transition protocols include this step. If you have any student officers serving a second term in the same role, email [email protected], and we will extend their Circle Executive Dashboard access.
✍️ Summer Projects
The OΔK National Headquarters staff will be managing several projects this summer in anticipation of the coming year. There will be updates to MyODK, the OΔK national website, and print recruiting material for the circle request. At times, MyODK may be down for a few hours. Please be patient and give us a chance to load the updates. We will also finalize the Circle Standards pages and complete the records required to award Circle Recognition.
We always welcome a chat with officers planning for the coming year. Do not hesitate to find time on your circle contact’s calendar. If you are not sure who your contact is, the list is at this link.
