About the Circle
The University of Iowa Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa has been active on campus since May 10, 1947. The circle recruits new members every spring, and occasionally in the fall. Potential new members are invited to apply if they have achieved at least junior status and their GPA is in the top 35% of the entire school. Applications usually become available the first few weeks of the semester and current members review applications and invite to join those individuals who best embody the ideals of ODK.
There are usually 20-30 members in University of Iowa Circle of ODK at any point in time. Members are expected to attend bi-weekly meetings and participate in our philanthropic and fundraising events as well as attend our various programs. ODK organizes the University of Iowa’s Dad of the Year Award every fall and the James N. Murray Faculty Award every spring. Our current philanthropic partner is the Johnson County Crisis Center.
