Last week, I wrote about how the Omicron Delta Kappa National Headquarters has recently posted the “Help Wanted” sign again. We are actively recruiting candidates for our Leadership Consultant position, and we will soon be searching for a new Membership Services Coordinator.
In addition, and in conjunction with the upcoming Biennial Convention and Centennial Celebration, the “Help Wanted” sign for volunteers is also posted. Every two years, we elect new national officers and appoint individuals to senior volunteer leadership positions. This means that opportunities are available on the Society Board of Directors and the National Advisory Council.
This is a great opportunity for YOU to continue to serve O∆K and contribute to the growth and development of our organization’s long range success. It is a pivotal time for O∆K as we enter our second century and work to enhance our role in further developing the campus of leaders of today into the community leaders of tomorrow.
Our board members also obviously have fun working together. My collection of photographs of the board from our various meetings and activities is growing, and I am always struck by the huge smiles that are displayed on everyone’s faces.
Details about our Call for Nominations may be found here, I encourage individuals to also review the Nominations and Elections Accepted Guidelines and Procedures before submitting nomination materials. I hope you will consider opportunities to continue to serve Omicron Delta Kappa. The deadline for submitting materials is Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
As O∆K members know, leading leaders is challenging, but it also very rewarding. After all, look at those smiles above!
