Lexington, Va. (April 26, 2023) – Jennifer L. Waller has been selected as the new president and chief executive officer of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society.
Waller has served as the director of special projects for the Association of College and University Housing Officers – International since 2022. Before her work with ACUHO-I, she served ten years as the executive director of the Association for Student Conduct Administration. During her tenure with ASCA, she increased the association’s membership by more than 60%.
“I am truly excited to join an extraordinary organization,” Waller said. “I see O∆K as a place where leadership is recognized and life-long connections are made. I look forward to building on the tradition of excellence that has been established.”
Waller will fill the position currently held by Tara S. Singer, who is retiring in June after ten years leading O∆K. A nationwide search was conducted to fill the role. Waller officially steps into the role on July 1, 2023.

Banks, immediate past chair of the Society’s Board of Trustees and co-chair of the search committee. “Dr. Waller brings a wealth of experience within higher education, association management, and leadership development to this role. We were impressed with her knowledge, enthusiasm, and leadership abilities throughout the search process. We are excited to see Dr. Waller engage with our members and lead the Society to new levels of success.”
Waller’s previous experience also includes working at Texas A&M University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a residence life coordinator, a complex residence life director at Texas Tech University, and a hall director at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in speech communication from Eastern Illinois University. Waller also received a Master of Science in Education with a major in guidance and counseling from EIU. She earned a Master of Education with a major in higher education administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Waller’s Ph.D. with a major in higher education administration is from Texas A&M University.
Waller is a member of the American Society for Association Executives, the Florida Society of Association Executives, and NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
