Who were Morlan and Bishop?
Robert L. Morlan was a 1941 collegiate initiate of the Denison University Circle. He spent many years as a professor of political science at the University of the Redlands. He served Omicron Delta Kappa as its national president from 1984 until the time of his death in 1985. He received the Meritorious Service Key (now the Eldridge W. Roark, Jr. Meritorious Service Award) in 1996.
Robert Bishop was a 1931 initiate of the University of Cincinnati Circle, an institution at which he served as the dean of men and a professor. From 1937 to 1964, Bishop served the Society as its national executive and editor of The Circle. In 1947, the position title was changed to executive secretary. In 1961, this office was divided into two offices, with Bishop continuing to serve as executive secretary and with the appointment of Maurice Clay as the national administrative secretary for circle relations. Bishop went on to serve as national president from 1964-68.
