2025 Scholarship Recipients

Every year, Omicron Delta Kappa awards scholarships and fellowships to more than 40 collegiate members to continue their educations through graduate and professional study. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $7,000. These recipients demonstrate exceptional academic performance and leadership abilities.

Titilayomi Abiodun
University of South Carolina
Key Fund Scholarship
Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health, M.S.

Titilayomi Abiodun graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in public health. She is pursuing a M.S. in public health in global epidemiology at Emory University. She is passionate about equitable healthcare access and, after graduation, Titilayomi plans to return to Nigeria to design sustainable programs addressing malaria, diarrheal disease, and environmental sanitation.

Sarah Ashworth
Clemson University
Clemson University Scholarship

Sarah Ashworth graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and international business and a minor in history. Currently, Sarah works in Columbia, South Carolina as the payroll and benefits coordinator at a statewide virtual charter school. In the future, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in accounting.

Fatima-Zahrae Berrfai

Indiana State University, Bayh College of Education, Ph.D.

Fatima-Zahrae Berrfai received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Morocco and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at Indiana State University. She aspires to a career in academia and where she can influence policy, strengthen teacher training programs, and enhance learning experiences for students in diverse classrooms.

Ava Berry
Samford University

University of Alabama, J. Frank Barefield Jr. College of Arts and Sciences, M.A.

Ava graduated summa cum laude from Samford University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in English and teacher certification in English language arts. She is now pursuing a master’s in composition, rhetoric, and English studies at the University of Alabama. After graduation, she hopes to teach English at the high school or community college level and is dedicated to inspiring students with the same passion for reading and writing that has shaped her own academic journey.

Ava Boghosian
University of Richmond
Rupert Nelson Latture Scholarship

Ava Boghosian graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and Latin American, Latino, and Iberian studies. She now works in Washington, D.C., as a legal practice assistant focusing on national security, mergers and acquisitions, and energy and infrastructure projects. After completing the two-year paralegal program, she plans to attend law school.

 

Anna Bosking
Washington and Lee University
John R. Alford Scholarship in Law
Vanderbilt Law School, J.D.

Anna Bosking graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University in May 2024 as a Johnson Scholar, earning a B.A. in global politics with minors in poverty and human capability studies and Latin American and Caribbean studies. She is now pursuing her Juris Doctor at Vanderbilt University.

Craig Caudill
University of Richmond
Lit and Mary Maxwell Scholarship
University of Michigan, School of Public Health, M.P.H.

Craig Caudill graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in leadership studies and a minor in health studies. He is now pursuing a Master of Public Health in epidemiology at the University of Michigan and plans to continue on to doctoral study to become a scholar-activist focused on health equity and the social determinants of health.

Ashlynn Cobb
Juniata College

University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, M.D.

Ashlynn Cobb graduated summa cum laude from Juniata College in 2017 with a B.A. in Russian and international studies and a minor in French. She is now a third-year medical student at the University of Pennsylvania and hopes to incorporate advocacy into her career as a physician, with a focus on improving access to care for rural and global populations.

Dillon Cook

University of Alabama, College of Communication & Information Sciences, M.A.

Dillon Cook graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in May 2025 with bachelor’s degrees in communication studies, human environmental sciences, and criminal justice, along with minors in women’s studies, global and cultural perspectives, and public policy. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in communication studies at the University of Alabama. Dillon plans to continue on to a doctorate in higher education administration and aspires to become a public speaking professor.

Kira Cordova

Western Colorado University, M.F.A.

Kira Cordova graduated summa cum laude from Western Colorado University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and recreation and outdoor education. They are now pursuing an MFA in nature writing at Western Colorado University.

Madisyn Crabtree
Wright State University
Diane and Tom Vukovich Scholarship
University of Cincinnati, Lindner College of Business Marketing Department, M.S.

Madisyn Crabtree graduated magna cum laude from Wright State University with a B.S. in business and a major in marketing This fall, she will pursue an M.S. in marketing at the University of Cincinnati, where she has also received a graduate assistantship. Madisyn is driven to use her marketing skills to help organizations tell meaningful stories and create a positive social impact.

Emilee Cramer
Washington College

University of Tennessee, Knox, College of Veterinary Medicine, D.V.M.

Emilee Cramer graduated summa cum laude from Washington College in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in chemistry and public health. She is now pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Tennessee and hopes to become a traveling shelter veterinarian after graduation.

Ella Dedes

Purdue University, College of Health and Human Sciences, M.S.

Ella Dedes graduated summa cum laude from Bowling Green State University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders and a minor in child life. This fall, she will pursue a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Purdue University, aiming to become a pediatric speech-language pathologist.

 

Giselle De La Rua
University of Miami

University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine/Herbert Business School, M.D./M.B.A.

Giselle De La Rua graduated cum laude from the University of Miami in May 2021 with a B.S. in neuroscience. She is now a rising fourth-year at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, simultaneously completing an M.D. and an M.B.A. through the Herbert Business School. Giselle plans to pursue anesthesiology and leverage her dual degree to improve patient care throughout her residency and beyond.

Hanna Ebrahimi

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship    

Hanna Ebrahimi graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami in May 2025 with a double major in biochemistry and nutrition and global health studies, and minors in health management and policy and psychology. She currently works at 305 Pink Pack, a nonprofit supporting woman undergoing cancer treatment, and is preparing to apply to medical school with the goal of advancing health equity through research, service, and advocacy.

Tuna Ergan
Georgia Institute of Technology
Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Aerospace Engineering, Ph.D.

Tuna Ergan graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in May 2023. He went on to earn his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and is now a doctoral candidate in the same field at Georgia Tech. In addition, Tuna is also pursuing a second M.S. in Computational Science and Engineering. He looks forward to a career in aerospace engineering and is committed to pushing the boundaries of aircraft design, mentoring future researchers, and integrating his work into aviation sustainability efforts.

Angela Fajardo

Laura Larissa Morgan (University of Miami) Scholarship
Yale Law School, J.D.

Angela Fajardo graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, double majoring in political science and philosophy, and minoring in business law, Spanish, and law and politics. She is currently attending Yale Law School and is excited to continue to explore criminal and constitutional law.

Molly Galbreath

Notre Dame Law, J.D.

Molly Galbreath graduated summa cum laude from Grove City College in May 2025 with dual bachelor’s degrees in English literature and business, along with a minor in psychology. She is currently attending Notre Dame Law, where she hopes to explore her interest in family law and work toward strengthening legal protections for survivors of abuse.

Robert Henn

SUNY Plattsburgh, M.S.

Robert Henn graduated cum laude from SUNY Plattsburgh in May 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and minors in human development and family relations, journalism, and business. He is currently pursuing an M.S. in clinical mental health counseling as a diversity fellow at SUNY Plattsburgh, aiming to become a licensed mental health professional while advocating for mental health, human services, and not-for-profit initiatives.

Iseli Irizarry

Rupert Nelson Latture Scholarship
Vanderbilt University, Peabody College of Education and Human Development, M.Ed.

Iseli Irizarry graduated from Cumberland University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in child studies, specializing in clinical and developmental research, at Vanderbilt University, with the goal of becoming a clinical child psychologist and a professor of psychology.

Kassidy Jacobs
University of Maryland, College Park
University of Maryland, College Park (Sigma Circle) Scholarship
Yale Law School, J.D.

Kassidy Jacobs graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics and criminology and criminal justice. She is currently attending Yale Law School, where she is focusing on public interest law, with an emphasis on educational disparities, environmental justice, and poverty alleviation.

Jasmine Kiley
Tulane University

University of Cambridge, Ph.D.

Jasmine graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University in May 2024 with a B.S. in biological chemistry and a minor in public health. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Cambridge. After receiving her Ph.D., she will return to the U.S. to pursue an M.D. at Vanderbilt University. Jasmine is committed to advancing women’s health through research, policy, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration as a clinician-scientist.

Carson Kim

Katharine Cater (Auburn University) Scholarship
University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry, D.M.D.

Carson Soo Jin Kim graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University in May 2025 with a degree in biomedical sciences and a minor in honors business. He is now attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham in pursuit of his Doctor of Medical Dentistry and plans to provide accessible dental care to underserved communities in Alabama.

 

Rebekah Lassiter
Wake Forest University

East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine, M.D.

Rebekah Lassiter graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a degree in biology and art history. She is now pursuing her M.D. at East Tennessee State University, where she plans to specialize in pediatrics.

Kristina Lynch
Florida State University
Scott R. Goodale Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Kristina Lynch graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a B.S. in biological science and a minor in chemistry. A standout student-athlete, she helped lead FSU’s women’s soccer team to two NCAA National Championships and three ACC Championships. She went on to earn master’s degrees in management and business analytics at the University of Notre Dame. Kristina plans to pursue medicine or an M.B.A. in healthcare, combining her interests in science, analytics, and business to make a meaningful impact.

Tessa Lytle
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, School of Engineering, Ph.D.

Tessa Lytle graduated with high distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 2023 with B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at WPI, where her research focuses on phase-based motion magnification and vibration analysis for structural health monitoring. Tessa’s goal is to improve infrastructure safety and make a positive impact in communities.

Jessica Mahoney

Stephen D. Bisese (University of Richmond) Scholarship
Boston University, School of Public Health, M.P.H.

Jessica Mahoney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare studies and a minor in biology. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Boston University and plans to use her systems knowledge to promote more equitable healthcare for all.

Elizabeth Martin
Missouri Southern State University

Elizabeth Martin graduated summa cum laude from Missouri Southern State University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, a minor in general business, and a certificate in honors interdisciplinary studies. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration and plans to attend medical school, focusing her career on rural healthcare and research.

Jacob Martin

Jacob Martin graduated summa cum laude from Morningside University in May 2025 with triple majors in history, political science, and international affairs. He is currently pursuing a M.A. in history at West Virginia University and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in American history, with a secondary focus on modern Eastern European history.

 

Chantel McCarthy

Chantel McCarthy graduated magna cum laude from St. Lawrence University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minors in gender and sexuality studies and sociology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Binghamton University and plans to become a licensed clinical social worker, providing one-on-one mental health therapy.

Elise Molinaro

Tufts University, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, M.S.

Elise Molinaro graduated summa cum laude from Washington & Lee University in May 2024 with dual bachelor’s degrees in environmental studies and cognitive & behavioral science and a minor in poverty & human capability studies. She is pursuing her M.S. in nutrition at Tufts University and hopes to use her degree to support sustainable agriculture, local food systems, and community health through nonprofit work.

My-Linh Nguyen graduated summa cum laude with distinguished honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in May 2025, earning a B.S. in biomedical sciences with minors in chemistry and psychology. She is continuing her studies as a medical student at UAB, pursuing her goal of becoming a community-focused physician.

Doreen Okeh

Howard University School of Law, J.D.

Doreen Okeh graduated with honors from Emory University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in human health and sociology, concentrating on health policy, bioethics, and Black maternal health. This fall, she will begin her legal studies at Howard University School of Law, pursuing a career in health law and civil rights advocacy.

 

Nkechinyere Okorie

The Siegal Family (University of Louisville) Scholarship

Nkechinyere “Angel” Therese Okorie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville in May 2024 with a B.S. in health and human performance, concentrating in exercise science. She plans to continue her education in the Doctor of physical therapy program at Indiana University Indianapolis in May 2026, aiming to make a lasting impact in rehabilitation and patient care.

Jo Papadopoulou

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, School of Information and Library Science, M.S.

Jo Papadopoulou graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in gender and sexuality studies and a minor in data science. They are currently pursuing a master’s in information science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they plan to continue exploring the role of data in advancing equity, access, and community-centered knowledge systems.

Danica Propst graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia Wesleyan College in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and minors in legal studies and broadcasting. This August, she began her legal education at Penn State University and aspires to become a family and child advocacy attorney.

Janna Rains graduated as valedictorian of the class of 2023 from Southern Virginia University with a B.A. in biochemistry and music. This fall, she will begin medical school at the University of North Carolina, where she plans to study family medicine and public health while strengthening her Spanish and Slavic language skills to advance health literacy and humanitarian aid.

Sophia Z. Rivera graduated summa cum laude from Moravian University in May 2024 with a B.S. in health science on the pre-physical therapy track. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Moravian University.

Safiyah Sadek

Safiyah Mohamed Sadek graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a minor in psychology, earning departmental honors in neuroscience. She is now pursuing an M.D./Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky, dedicated to advancing her passion for research and medicine.

Hannah Schaeffer

Hannah Schaeffer graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University in May 2025 with a B.S. in biochemistry with honors and minors in mathematics and psychology. She is now pursuing an M.S. in forensic science and law at Duquesne University and plans to become a law enforcement officer specializing in on-scene forensic work.

Emma Tanner

Emma Tanner graduated summa cum laude from Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at North Carolina Central University and hopes to become a real estate attorney specializing in property damage to support her eastern North Carolina community in the aftermath of natural disasters.

Lauren Tierney
University of Miami

University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, M.D.

Lauren Tierney graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and minors in biochemistry and nutrition, chemistry, and dance. She is currently pursuing her medical degree at the University of Miami, where she is involved in neurology and neurosurgery research.

Alexandria Toth
University of Saint Katherine
Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship

Alexandria Toth graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to earn her master’s in organizational leadership at the University of Saint Katherine. In the future, Alexandria hopes to pursue a doctorate in social work, with the goal of becoming a licensed therapist and leading trauma-informed programs that address intergenerational harm in marginalized communities.

D’Kerrington Traylor
Texas Woman’s University
Key Fund Scholarship

D’Kerrington Traylor graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in business administration. She earned a dual M.B.A./M.S. in management information systems from Lamar University in Summer 2025. D’Kerrington plans to attend law school, combining her background in government, business, and technology to drive positive change in public policy.

Athena Vasquez
Centenary College of Louisiana
Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Louisiana State University, The Pinkie Gordon Lane Graduate School, M.A.

Athena Vasquez graduated magna cum laude from Centenary College of Louisiana with dual B.A. degrees: French with a minor in education, and English with a concentration in literary studies. This fall she began her M.A. in education with a concentration in higher education administration at Louisiana State University. Lucien Wallace graduated with high honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May 2024 with dual bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering and environmental studies. He is now pursuing a Master of City Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is passionate about public transit development, with plans to build a career in transit planning.

Eastwood Yeboah graduated summa cum laude from Union College in 2025 with a B.A. in psychology and Africana studies. Through the Scholars Program, he created his own minor in global mental health parity and continues to engage in mental health advocacy. He is currently pursuing an M.S. in global health at National Taiwan University and aspires to a career that helps destigmatize mental health on an international level.

Matthew Yuro graduated magna cum laude from The College of New Jersey in May 2025 with a B.S. in elementary education and history. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in teaching in special education at The College of New Jersey and plans to pursue a doctorate in educational administration and policy, aiming to transform the education system.
