West Palm Beach, FL (April 24, 2024) — Keiser University became the 434th chartered
circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, on April 5, 2024.
Peter Christiaans, chair of O∆K’s board of trustees, presided at the chartering
ceremony.
“Omicron Delta Kappa proudly welcomes Keiser University as our newest campus
circle,” Christiaans said. “Student, faculty, alumni, and staff leaders may now be
recognized for exhibiting O∆K’s positive vision and ideals within their campus and
community. In addition, student members will be eligible to participate in the Society’s
national opportunities, including scholarships, internships, campus grants, and
leadership development programs.”
Keiser University’s charter group included more than 30 students, faculty, staff,
administrators, and student leaders as founding members of the new circle. Dr. Garrett
Vonk, president of Keiser University, was initiated as an honorary member.
“The addition of an O∆K Circle at this campus will provide an opportunity for students to
gain valuable leadership skills that will serve them now and into the future,” Vonk said.
Christiaans thanked the Keiser University leadership for its work.
“Congratulations to the circle’s new officers and members, and special thanks to Dr.
Craig Bowe, Dr. Robin Schupper and President Gary Vonk for chartering the Keiser
University circle,” he said.
