Lexington, Va. (May 21, 2024) – Brooke Dominiak, a 2023 graduate of Furman University and current MBA student at Clemson University, has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Omicron Delta Kappa Society and Educational Foundation, Inc. Dominiak was elected by circle (chapter) delegates at the end of the 2024 spring semester. Dominiak’s three-year term as one of the Society’s student trustees will begin on July 1, 2024. In the 2024-25 academic year, she will be the Society’s National Student Vice Chair-Elect and Chair of the Student Advisory Board.
The announcement of the election was made by Jennifer L. Waller, president and chief executive officer of O∆K.
“Omicron Delta Kappa is excited that Brooke Dominiak will be serving as one of our three student trustees and as the National Student Vice Chair-Elect during this academic and fiscal year,” Waller said. “Brooke will be a wonderful advocate for the Society’s collegiate members, and I look forward to her tenure on the board.”
Dominiak is a 2022 initiate of the Furman University Circle. She graduated from Furman University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in communication studies and a 3.8 GPA. Since graduating Dominiak has relocated to Silicon Valley, California to work at Adobe while simultaneously pursuing her MBA in entrepreneurship at Clemson University.
Dominiak was named the 2023 Omicron Delta Kappa National Leader of the Year for Communications, one of the highest honors presented to an undergraduate member of the Society each year. She served as president of the Furman Student Entrepreneurship Association and was an innovation and entrepreneurship intern and strategic marketing/community partnership summer fellow for Furman’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, tripling the organization’s social media followers and holding more than 50 stakeholder meetings with local leaders.
As a student trustee, Dominiak wants to bring positive change and make a difference in other O∆K members’ lives.
“Looking ahead, I envision bringing O∆K’s circles closer, fostering a more inclusive and collaborative community through diverse leadership experiences,” Dominiak said. “My goal is to unite our collective strengths to shape a future that benefits every member of the Society.”
