Leadership is often passed down not through words, but through example. For Razz and Meaghan Waff, a shared membership in Omicron Delta Kappa represents exactly that: a legacy of service, integrity, and purposeful leadership carried across generations.
Razz Waff (University of Mississippi) is a longtime O∆K member whose commitment to leadership excellence has been a defining thread throughout his life. His daughter, Meaghan Waff (Rhodes College), followed her own remarkable path through college, a Fulbright posting in Malaysia, graduate school, and into a career at the forefront of artificial intelligence in Washington, D.C. Along the way, she earned her own place in O∆K, making their connection something truly special.
Razz reflects on what Meaghan’s induction means to him:
“Meaghan’s induction into O∆K is a clear recognition of her leadership that I have seen continue from high school through college, through her Fulbright posting in Malaysia, on through post-graduate school and now into the workforce. It is clear to me that Meaghan has a remarkable gift for being able to mentally lift herself out of the frenzy, focus on the essentials, and then tag her teammates best suited for specific actions. For her, leadership is not being in the spotlight, rather finding her colleagues who are best suited to take the small micro actions that lead to a successful conclusion.”
— Razz Waff
Meaghan shares what this bond means to her:
“Joining Omicron Delta Kappa was an incredible milestone in my leadership journey, but sharing that membership with my dad makes it profoundly meaningful. For us, O∆K isn’t just an honor society; it’s a family tradition. Growing up in a military family, I learned early on that true leadership is rooted in service and integrity. Knowing that we both wear the same O∆K key is a powerful, constant reminder of the high standards he set and the legacy of commitment he passed down to me — and it’s an honor to represent those same values in my own career and community.”
— Meaghan Waff
The Waff family reminds us that leadership is not just something we achieve — it is something we model, share, and pass forward. We are proud to celebrate this father-daughter O∆K connection this Father’s Day. 💙
