Good News! OΔK Officer Training and MyODK Circle Officer Training will move to self-paced online training beginning February 1, 2025. We are nearly ready to launch the Google Classroom site. Elections for Student and Faculty/Staff Trustees-2025
The Omicron Delta Kappa Society and Educational Foundation Board of Trustees include three students and three faculty/staff members. The student and faculty/staff members are recommended by the Board Nominations Committee and voted upon by the Board of Trustees to serve as trustees. One faculty/staff and one student member are selected each year. The Board of Trustees establishes the timetable for student and faculty/staff trustee selections.
If you are interested or know a student or faculty/staff initiate who would be a good candidate, please read more on the 2025 Trustees Election page.
Circle Leader of the Year
The Circle Leader of the Year allows active circles to recognize one circle member as an outstanding leader for the circle and the campus. The submission process for 2024-25 is now open. The Circle Leader of the Year (CLOY) recognition is no longer a gateway to the National Leader of the Year. For that reason, the CLOY process has been moved to the spring. Circles are still expected to select a CLOY – a person dedicated to the circle’s leadership and success. The circle then notifies the National Headquarters of its selection. The CLOY recipients will receive a signed certificate suitable for framing, be recognized on the O∆K website and through social media, and be recognized at the National Leadership Conference. We hope to have every circle select a Circle Leader of the Year in 2025.
Submissions for the CLOY open on January 1, 2025, and close on May 31, 2025.
National Leadership and Service Award Nominations
Nominations are now open for our Omicron Delta Kappa Awards, recognizing outstanding leadership across our membership and organization.
While all awards are important, circle officers should consider nominating an outstanding advisor for the Morlan-Bishop Award. It is the highest honor given to a circle advisor.
CLLA Ignite Grants Available
The Charlie Life and Leadership Academy (CLLA), in partnership with the C. Charles Jackson Foundation is thrilled to offer the Ignite Grant Program, a funding opportunity that provides grants and direct support to help institutions address critical challenges in student leadership learning. Successful Ignite Projects open the door to our Impact Grant Program, which offers large-scale funding to implement and expand the strategies identified and developed during the Ignite phase. With matching funds and continued expert support, the Impact Grant ensures that the solutions you develop lead to lasting change and deeper institutional commitment.
Omicron Delta Kappa encourages your institution to explore the Impact Grant Program.
Applications for the Ignite Grant are due by February 7, 2025.
