Officer Training for MyODK
All circle officers who require access to the MyODK Circle Executive Dashboard must complete the Zoom training program. Training is scheduled for 60 minutes and offered multiple times weekly through August 31. Beginning September 1, MyODK Officer training will be offered twice weekly. Part 1 Training covers MyODK access and profiles, application planning and set-up, application management, and instructions for applicants. Part 2 Training will be offered later in the fall and will be self-paced.
Gift of Membership
Request a Gift of Membership for collegiate members who are Pell-eligible or who have other significant financial constraints. Learn more about the process and new rules associated with the grants.
New Recruitment Materials
All new recruitment materials are ready for 2024-25. You can order or download your brochures, flyers, and posters today. Don’t forget the many other resources like email and tapping templates, the updated Interactive Recruitment Timeline, and the OΔK Ritual script download. NOTE: All OΔK Circles are required to follow the official ritual. Make sure your circle is using the ritual dated 2021. Anything else is not approved and should be discarded.

Changes in Policies
Each year, the Mission Committee and the Board of Trustees review and approve policies and procedures that must be updated. This year is no exception. All policy changes were effective July 1, 2024. We will post the revised OΔK Policies and Procedures Handbook soon. Below is a list of some of the more significant changes.
- National Initiation Fee replaces (Lifetime Membership Fee): This clarifies the fee’s purpose and restores all OΔK fees.
- Honorary replaces Honoris Causa: The term Honorary in the Bylaws has been used interchangeably with the certificate designation Honoris Causa. This has been changed in the new application, MyODK, and other databases. Honoris Causa is Latin, meaning “for the sake of the honor.” The member status is Honorary. Honoris Causa will still be on the certificate.
- Clarification of Alumni 5-year Rule: The language was updated to remove confusion about when alumni of an institution with an active circle can be initiated.
- Circle Assistant: All advisors or anyone accessing OΔK records must be initiated members. Circle Assistants will now need to be initiated members. OΔK will continue to cover the initiation fees for all advisors.
- Stewardship Recognition rule clarification
- Election of Student and Faculty/Staff Trustees—The board will now appoint these important board positions, as will all other Board positions.
Financial Changes (there will be a separate detailed email to circle about these)
- QuickBooks Invoicing – Beginning in June 2024, OΔK will send QuickBooks invoice circles with the ability to pay online for Institutional Membership Fees, Initiation Fees, or Ritual materials. Circles may pay with a credit card or bank transfer through this portal. Invoices are sent via email from our [email protected] account.
- Late fees – OΔK is considering charging late fees for any invoice over 90 days overdue. All invoices are “Net 30,” due within 30 days.
- Institutional Membership Fee—The Institutional Membership Fee (IMF) will increase to $300 over the next three years.
- FY2024 = $125
- FY2025 = $200
- FY2026 = $275
- FY2027 = $300
We will be sending emails with more details about policy changes, financial changes, and program changes throughout July and August. It is imperative that all officers read these and understand the policies and procedures necessary for OΔK to function efficiently and effectively at the circle and national levels.
