Code of Conduct – O∆K Discord Community

The Omicron Delta Kappa (O∆K) Discord Online Community is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where members can collaborate, connect, and advance leadership while upholding the values of O∆K. We believe in fostering a community that is respectful, diverse, and focused on excellence in leadership. We expect all members to adhere to the following Code of Conduct to maintain this environment.

Code of Conduct

As an O∆K member, I understand and will comply with the following:

In the O∆K Discord Community, we promote collaborative engagement among our members to achieve common goals. We emphasize the importance of respectful and considerate interactions when collaborating with others. By fostering an environment where diverse perspectives are valued, we aim to strengthen relationships and uphold the core values of O∆K, recognizing and developing leaders in collegiate and community life.

We actively seek, embrace, and advance a diverse group of individuals. Discrimination, prejudice, or any form of exclusionary behavior based on age, caste, color, disability, ethnicity, family responsibilities, gender, gender identity, housing status, national origin, race, refugee or immigration status, religious affiliation, serious illness, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class and status, source of income, status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking, and weight and size is strictly prohibited. Members of the O∆K Discord Community are expected to:

  • Avoid harassment, hate speech, or any harmful behavior that disrupts our community's well-being.
  • Refrain from promoting sexual harassment, explicit content, or any actions that exploit others.
  • Do not engage in hate speech, threatening behavior, or violent extremism based on protected characteristics.
  • Report child exploitation or grooming activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Ensure that users under 18 refrain from engaging in risky or unsafe online activities.
  • Avoid sharing explicit content with minors and ensure age-restricted labels are applied where needed.
  • Do not distribute explicit content in areas not age-restricted.
  • Do not distribute explicit content.
  • Prevent the dissemination of harmful content, including self-harm, violence, and gore.
  • Respect intellectual property rights and avoid sharing cheats, hacks, or copyrighted material.

Members are expected to align their values and beliefs with their behaviors and speech. Do not engage in deceptive or harmful activities, including impersonation, fraud, or spreading false information.

  • Avoid sharing false or misleading information, known as misinformation, on Discord.
  • Content that can potentially harm people or society by spreading falsehoods may be removed.
  • Do not misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
  • Prevent actions that compromise account, network, or system security, such as phishing, malware, or denial-of-service attacks.
  • Do not use Discord for promoting financial scams, including Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, fraud, or other dishonest gains.
  • Avoid activities that defraud businesses or facilitate illegal behavior, such as price gouging, forgery, or money laundering.Respect the Discord Server and its Support community by abiding by the following conduct:
  • Avoid sending unsolicited bulk messages or facilitating spam-related activities.
  • Do not sell or buy methods for artificially inflating server membership.
  • Refrain from engaging in illegal activities, including trading dangerous or regulated goods.
  • Abusing Discord products, such as selling accounts or using monetization for fraud, is prohibited.
  • Do not evade permanent Discord enforcement actions by creating new accounts or communities.
  • Self-bots and user-bots are not allowed as they strain Discord's infrastructure.
  • Avoid misleading Discord's support teams, making false reports, or encouraging multiple reports on the same issue, which may result in restricted reporting access.

At the core of the O∆K Discord Community, we endorse the pursuit of academic excellence and a lifelong dedication to learning. We value intellectual growth and encourage our members to engage in respectful discourse. Our Discord server serves as a professional and academic networking platform, fostering an environment where members can discuss their professional and academic interests. Here, intellectual curiosity thrives, knowledge is shared, and members can advance their educational and professional journeys while maintaining the principles of respect and constructive dialogue.

Within the O∆K Discord Community, we remain dedicated to answering the service summons that extend from our local community and our nation. Leadership, to us, signifies more than recognition within our O∆K Community; it signifies active engagement and positive contributions within this digital space. Therefore, we urge our members to embrace service-oriented behaviors, prioritizing the betterment of our local and national communities as well as our unique online Discord community.

Reporting Violations

If you believe an O∆K Discord Community member has violated this Code of Conduct, please report it to our community moderators or administrators. We are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive space and will take appropriate actions to address violations.

O∆K reserves the right to remove any content that it determines in its sole discretion is in violation of the Code of Conduct and to remove or limit the access of any user that it determines in its sole discretion has violated the Code of Conduct.

By participating in the O∆K Discord Community, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and uphold the values of O∆K.

We are dedicated to creating a positive and respectful environment for all members to collaborate and grow as leaders. Thank you for being a part of our community.
