O∆K Scholarships and Fellowships: Are You Eligible and What’s Available?

To apply for an O∆K scholarship or fellowship, an individual must:

  • be an initiated member of Omicron Delta Kappa;
  • be in senior status if an undergraduate;
  • intend to complete, no later than August 31, 2023, an undergraduate degree or complete the requirements for undergraduate courses if enrolled in a dual undergraduate/graduate or professional degree program;
  • expect to enroll or are currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or professional program in the United States or abroad; and
  • have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale) on all academic work at both the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate level if appropriate.

Below is the expected list of scholarships and fellowships to be available for the 2023-24 academic year. Final allocations and amounts will be set in January 2023. Scholarships and fellowships range from $1,000 – $5,000, available for award this year:

  • Albrecht Arts Fellowship – awarded to top applicant representing the arts pillar (one scholarship, $2,500)
  • John R. Alford Scholarship in Law – awarded to top applicant who is an initiate of the Washington and Lee University Circle and attending law school (one scholarship, $5,000)
  • Michael Barla Scholarship – awarded to top applicant is a member of a historically marginalized or under-represented racial or ethnic minority population (one scholarship, $1,000)
  • Katharine Cater (Auburn University) Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the Omega Circle (one scholarship, $2,000)
  • Winton M. Blount Scholarship – awarded to the applicant from the State of Alabama (one scholarship, $2,500)
  • Chellgren Family Endowed Scholarship – (one scholarship, $2,500)
  • Clemson University Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the Clemson University Circle (one scholarship, $1,000)
  • Scott R. Goodale Memorial Endowed Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant representing the athletics pillar (one scholarship, $1,500)
  • Key Fund Scholarship – awarded to the three applicants who are Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian or Asian American, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander (three scholarships, $1,000 each)
  • Rupert Nelson Latture Scholarship – (two scholarships, $2,000)
  • Louise and William Latture Scholarship – awarded to a student from an institution in the southeastern United States (one scholarship, $2,500)
  • LGBTQ+ Scholarship – awarded to the two top applicants who identify as LGBTQ+ (two scholarships, $1,000 each)
  • Lit and Mary Maxwell Scholarship – awarded to the second top applicant from the University of
    Richmond Circle (one scholarship, $1,000)
  • John D. Morgan Scholarship – awarded to the top undergraduate applicant (one scholarship, $3,500)
  • John Karlem Riess Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the State of Louisiana (one scholarship, $1,000)
  • Laura Larissa Morgan (University of Miami) Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the
    University of Miami (one scholarship, $1,500)
  • Matthew B. Nobles Scholarship for International Studies – awarded to a student studying at an institution outside of the United States (one scholarship, $2,000)
  • Stephen D. Bisese (University of Richmond) Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the Epsilon Circle (one scholarship, $1,000)
  • Diane and Tom Vukovich Scholarship – awarded to the two top applicants initiated at a circle located at an institution in the State of Ohio (two scholarships, $2,250 each)
  • Kenneth P. Ruscio (Washington and Lee University) Scholarship – awarded to the top applicant from the Alpha Circle (one scholarship, $2,000)
  • General Scholarships – awarded to other outstanding students (20 scholarships, $1,000 each)
