Testimonials

Sadie Statman

Sadie Statman“After graduating from Emory University in December of 2020, as a proud member of Omicron Delta Kappa, I knew that I wanted to pursue a postgraduate opportunity that would allow me to further hone my leadership and professional skills. As I navigated the Schwarzman Scholars application process, I became increasingly confident that Schwarzman Scholars was the perfect opportunity. I was incredibly honored to be selected as a member of the sixth cohort of Schwarzman Scholars, and this past year spent living and studying in Beijing, China was absolutely transformational. As a scholar, I experienced immense personal growth, cultivated deep relationships with students from all over the world, gained a more nuanced understanding of China, strengthened my academic skill set, and became a more confident and self-assured leader. Applying for Schwarzman Scholars was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I feel prepared and ready to take on my future educational and professional pursuits at Harvard Law School. I strongly urge any member of Omicron Delta Kappa interested in learning more about China, expanding your worldview, and catalyzing your own personal and professional development to apply for the program.”

-Sadie Statman (Emory University, 2021)

Collin Parker

Collin Parker“After graduating from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2017, I embarked on my one-year journey at Beijing’s Tsinghua University where I studied and lived among an international cohort of student leaders. Together, we completed engaging coursework and defended our theses, participated in immersive travel, learned from distinguished speakers and one another, and prepared for impactful careers across a range of industries. Schwarzman Scholars, founded on the premise that cross-cultural understanding can drive peace and innovation, is the only program of its kind. In the face of rising global tensions and an ever-complex geopolitical landscape, I am confident that this network of leaders will rise to any challenge and achieve meaningful impact in every corner of the globe. I strongly encourage fellow ΟΔΚ members and alumni to consider applying for this life-changing opportunity.”

-Collin Parker (United States Military Academy, 2016)
