Become a National Level Volunteer

Post-collegiate members (alumni) may support Omicron Delta Kappa in a variety of capacities. While gifts of treasure are always welcome, gifts of time and talent are also much appreciated.

Foundation Scholarship Reviewer

Each year, the Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation receives more than 200 applications for its post-baccalaureate scholarships. Individuals who have the time to review and rank 20 applications are encouraged to apply to be a reviewer. The work of the reviewers takes place in March and April each year.

National Day of Giving Champion

Our volunteers who support the National Day of Giving (second Thursday in April) are those who help champion annual contributions to the Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation and act as social media ambassadors by posting about the reasons why they support O∆K on Facebook and Twitter. Use the hashtag #ODKGiving, post photos of one’s leadership journey, and share with O∆K’s national headquarters ([email protected]).

National Leadership Conference Volunteer

While Omicron Delta Kappa has been hosting biennial conventions since 1920, beginning in 2020, the Society will begin holding an annual convention each summer. Volunteers can help in the planning for the convention, provide programs, and assist with on-site details during the convention weekend. As a convention volunteer, individuals are expected to register and pay for the convention, but this is a great opportunity to hear from nationally significant speakers and help facilitate the leadership development of our collegiate members.

The national headquarters team is always in search of pictures to be included in our publications, website, and social media platforms. If you have a good eye for capturing O∆K members in action, please let us know and help build an inventory of images which can showcase the good work done by our collegiate members in print and online.

Writer for O∆K Communications

As a volunteer, you can help O∆K by writing for The Circle (our magazine) or our website and online leadership hub (O∆K Leadership Matters) by contributing blog posts. Feature articles, reflection pieces on leadership, book reviews, and news announcements are all welcome contributions. O∆K generally follows the Associated Press style guide for content.
