As a Lifetime Member of Omicron Delta Kappa, there are many opportunities to continue your involvement with our Society. More than 750 members volunteer each year to serve as circle advisors, plan the National Leadership Conference, select scholarship recipients and award winners, and help OΔK make decisions about the future. It is also a great way to develop and expand your professional and personal connections to members across the Society. Year after year, our volunteers report that serving the Society is one of the great benefits of membership.
5 Ways to Volunteer
Help Our Circles Thrive
Omicron Delta Kappa succeeds when our circles thrive. Our faculty, staff, and alumni advisors are the bedrock upon which our circles are built. If you work on campus or live in a community where OΔK has an established circle, consider volunteering to be an advisor.
We are always looking for members to champion new circles at colleges and universities across the country. If you are interested in helping expand the OΔK legacy or serving as a mentor to a new circle, contact us at odknhdq@odk.org. We can find a place for you.
Serve on a National Committee
Omicron Delta Kappa is a complex organization with over 20 national committees that do much of the work of the Society. From selecting award recipients to assisting with budget planning, OΔK relies on a cadre of volunteers to provide the best experience for our members. If you have experience in finance and administration, then maybe the finance or development committee might be right for you. If you enjoy learning about the skills and abilities of our undergraduate leaders, you might make a great scholarship reviewer. Whatever your background, we can find a place for you to serve. Read more about our committees by selecting a link below.
Embrace the National Leadership Conference (NLC)
The National Leadership Conference is the largest annual event produced by ODK. There are numerous ways to volunteer and all of them are important. Learn more about the NLC here or click the links below to volunteer directly.
Become a National Volunteer
Many hands make light work. Most of the volunteer opportunities in OΔK take only a few hours once or twice a year. If your time is limited, but you still want to serve the Society, consider any one of these ways to be a national volunteer.

Provide Content for Publications and Social Media
The National Headquarters team is always in search of pictures to be included in our publications, website, and social media platforms. If you have a good eye for capturing O∆K members in action, please let us know and help build an inventory of images that can showcase the good work done by our collegiate members in print and online.
As a volunteer, you can help O∆K by writing for The Circle (our magazine) or our website and by contributing blog posts. Feature articles, reflection pieces on leadership, book reviews, and news announcements are all welcome contributions. O∆K generally follows the Associated Press style guide for content.
As O∆K expands its presence on social media, we need volunteers to create and share content as part of our strategic effort to recognize our members.
